Terms and Conditions

Deposit/Date Lock
Once an order form has been received, you will be informed if your date is available. If so, an invoice is created and emailed to you. You will then have 24hrs, from the time that the invoice has been sent to you, to make your deposit to lock in your cake order and date. The deposit is 50% of the invoice total. If the deposit is not received within that 24hr period, the date will remain available and could possibly be booked by another client. Deposits are non-refundable.

Final Payment
The final balance is due, no later than, 7 days before the event date. If your order is not paid in full by the due date stated on your invoice, your order will be cancelled, and all monies received will be forfeited. If you still request your order after it has been cancelled, it will be considered a Short Notice Order, and a fee will be applied to your invoice. If your cake is ordered less than 7 days before the event date, the total amount is due immediately. An Invoice reminder is sent the day the invoice is due, but ultimately, it is the clients’ responsibility to pay the balance in full and by the due date stated on the invoice. Additional payments on your order are accepted at any time.

Pick-up
Weekday pick up hours are 5pm-8pm. Weekend pick up hours are 9am-11am. Exceptions to these times must be discussed prior to payment. Please make sure pick-up orders are at your scheduled time, unless prior arrangements have been made. I allow a 15-minute grace period. You may have to reschedule your pick up if I am not available to allow for additional time. Due to HBB Policy, delivery is not allowed.

Cancellation Policy
Orders cancelled prior to 7 days of your event date will be refunded, except for the deposit. Orders cancelled within 7 days are non-refundable. Communication is key, I understand that things can come up that are out of your control. Please contact me, via phone or email, if something is going to affect your scheduled event date. Military deployments receive a full refund.

Cake Changes
Color samples, flavors, guest count, and all other final touches must be provided no later than 7 days before the event date. After that date lock, I cannot guarantee any changes. If color samples have not been provided, I will use my discretion. Please note that colors and design of actual cake may slightly vary.

Copyright Laws
Some designs cannot be fulfilled due to copyright/trademark laws. Exact replicas of other artists’ designs are also prohibited. Designs can be inspired by other artists but not duplicated.
 

Agreeing to Terms and Conditions
By paying the deposit, you agree that you have read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions listed. You also understand that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity, or other certain emergencies. The Cake Walk is committed to the promotion of the highest standards when handling personal information.  The protection of individual’s right to privacy is of upmost importance to me. 
I do not share your information with any third party. 
I do not keep any records longer than necessary.  
I do not use your information to carry out credit checks. 
Records are kept in a secure area. 
All clients have the right to inspect their own records at any time.
